Warum man auf die US-Form geht, versteh ich nicht so wirklich, weil - das Nackentuch ist deutlich zu kurz für übliche dt. PSA. That's why we wear a flashood (way longer than the German one) and the collar on our turn out gear is higher as well. Or maybe the north american neck is shorter :) - die Ohren sind schlechter geschützt Compaired to what? Drager Gallet or the German 'Wehrmachtsschuessel'? - es passt keinerlei Zubehör (z.B. Visier für THL, Schere/Spreizer) There are a lot of accessories available (longer shields a.s.o.) - das originale Visier (wie abgebildet) ist viel kleiner als unser bekannter Gesichtsschutz, ich halte es daher als Ersatz dafür auch nicht für geeignet, als Augenschutz ist es indiskutabel. O.K. I checked it and the German Visor is exactly 0.5cm longer and beside that we wear additional safety glasses to all rescue calls as it should be in Germany as well. I'm wearing a Cairns Helmet 660C and they are mostly identical to the Bullard Helmets. In my hummbled opinion both helmets have their advantages and disadvantages and thats why you guys should stick to the German (Europian) style and don't copy everything they use in the US (or Canada).
